NOTICE OF VACANCY

The application deadline for the Scheduled Vacancies of the following City Council appointed Advisory Boards, Commissions and Committees with expired terms ending June 30, 2025 has been extended.

Board of Library Trustees: 3 Vacancies: Office Nos. 1, 4, and 5. This Board provides strategic leadership and serves as the creative catalyst for developing and implementing the mission, values and vision of the Glendora Public Library. The Board consists of five members, each serving a three-year term.

Community Services Commission: 2 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 1 and 2. This Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and Director of Recreation and Human Services in all matters pertaining to the park maintenance, park development, recreation programs, human services, and community beautification. The Commission consists of five members, each serving a four-year term.

Planning Commission: 2 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 4 and 5. This Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on land-use policy-planning matters which guide the future development of the City. The Commission consists of five members, each serving a four-year term.

Water Commission: 3 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 3, 4, and 5. This Commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council on policy matters relating to the operation of the City’s water system, excluding daily operations and shall advise and recommend to the City Council policies and programs related to the City’s water. Must be customers of the City’s water division of the Public Works Department (GMC 2.18.020). The Commission consists of five members, each serving a four-year term.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:

  • Be registered to vote in the City of Glendora

  • Reside within the incorporated city limits for the entire term of service (GMC, 2.32)

  • Planning Commission: No person of the planning commission shall hold any other remunerative office or position with the City (GMC, 2.12).

  • Water Commission: Must be customers of the City’s water division of the Public Works Department (GMC 2.18.020).

    Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except holidays)

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

INTERVIEWS
 It is anticipated that interviews will be scheduled tentatively at a Special Meeting and conducted in person.
