Looking for more business training and support? The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) regularly offers webinars, trainings, and events on topics such as funding, marketing, business planning, government contracting, and business growth.

Business owners are encouraged to review SBA’s upcoming events to find additional opportunities that may support their goals.

When workshops are available, select the workshop that best fits your business needs and follow the registration link provided.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with workshop details and any event reminders.

Unable to attend live? Register anyway. When available, a recording may be sent to registered participants after the workshop.


LinkedIn Learning – Free with Your Glendora Library Card

Glendora Public Library cardholders have free access to LinkedIn Learning, an online training platform with courses that can help business owners and employees build practical skills.

This resource may be useful for business owners who want to train staff, improve customer service, strengthen leadership skills, learn new software, or improve marketing and social media knowledge without paying for separate training.

Course topics include:

  • Business management and leadership.
  • Customer service and sales.
  • Marketing and social media strategy.
  • Software and technology training.
  • Human resources, compliance, and workplace skills.
  • A Glendora Library card is required to access LinkedIn Learning.

Past Workshops

The City of Glendora shares business development workshops and training opportunities to help local business owners access practical information, improve operations, strengthen marketing, and connect with available resources.

Past workshop topics have included business funding, customer service, marketing, social media, Google Business Profile, artificial intelligence tools, SEO, and other small business support topics. Some workshops may be hosted directly by the City, while others may be offered by trusted business resource organizations such as SCORE, the SBA, SBDC, or similar partners.

When available, workshop recordings or materials may be provided below for businesses that were unable to attend live.

Business Resource Organizations

Small Business Administration (SBA)

The SBA provides small business resources related to funding, business planning, government contracting, disaster assistance, and training. SBA also connects business owners with local resource partners for counseling and technical assistance.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

SBDCs provide one-on-one business advising and training for entrepreneurs and existing small businesses. Support may include help with business planning, access to capital, marketing, operations, financial management, and other growth-related needs.

 

SCORE

SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner of the SBA that provides free business mentoring, webinars, online workshops, and educational resources. SCORE mentors can help with topics such as business planning, marketing, financing, operations, and growth strategies.

LA County Department of Economic Opportunity, Office of Small Business (DEO)

LA County’s Office of Small Business provides support for small and microbusinesses, including business assistance, referrals, and resources to help businesses start and grow in Los Angeles County.

Glendora Public Library

The Glendora Public Library offers access to learning and research tools that may support business owners, including LinkedIn Learning for skill-building, employee training, software education, leadership development, and marketing-related courses
