In order to open a water account, please complete the Water Account Opening Request form(PDF, 350KB) . Home or business owners are required to provide proof of property ownership. Proof of ownership can be furnished by an escrow closing statement, deed, property tax bill or mortgage statement.
New accounts for non-owners or tenant require a $200 deposit. This deposit is refundable within 4 to 6 weeks of the termination of service, less any balance remaining on the account.
In addition, all new customers must provide proof of identity. If you have any questions, please contact the Water Billing Division.
For Owners (LLT):
Landlords may choose to set up their account as a LandLord Trust (LLT). This account will automatically revert back into the owner's name when a tenant moves out and the service will not be disrupted.
- The service will remain in the owner's name until the owner closes the service, or until a new tenant signs up.
- This arrangement is canceled if a new property owner becomes responsible for the service address or if the current owner provides written notification to discontinue the LLT.
If the account is closed by a tenant, agent or non-owner and the account does not have a "Landlord Trust" (LLT) agreement on file, the water service shall be disconnected after the final reading is obtained.
