BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Cal. Gov't Code§ 54974 the following unscheduled vacancy exists on the following legislative body in the City of Glendora:

BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES

Notification of resignation was provided for Office No. 2 of the Board of Library Trustees. The unexpired term will end June 30, 2027.

ABOUT THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES: 

Board of Library Trustees: Members serve a 3-year term. The Board of Library Trustees of the City shall consist of five members. Members must be registered to vote and reside within the incorporated City limits during their entire term of service (GMC, 2.32). This Board provides strategic leadership and serves as the creative catalyst for developing and implementing the mission, values, and vision of the Glendora Public Library.   

Pursuant to City Resolution, members are required to complete AB1234 Ethics Training and Brown Act Training prior to receiving Oath of Office and are required to attend meetings on a regular basis.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, a special vacancy notice shall be posted not earlier than 20 days before or not later than 20 days after the vacancy occurs. Final appointment to an unscheduled vacancy on board/commission, shall not be made by the City Council for at least 10 working days after the posting of the notice by the City Clerk’s office.  Notice was published Thursday, February 27, 2025, Thursday, March 6, 2025, and Thursday, March 13, 2025.

APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE: Applications are available via the City’s website at www.cityofglendora.gov or at the City Clerk’s Office, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except holidays. Completed application forms will be accepted until the position has been filled. Please call the City Clerk’s Office at (626) 914-8210 for more information.

The date for interviews and/or appointments will be announced at a later date.  Applicants will be contacted to schedule interview times following the recruitment deadline of Thursday, March 20, 2025.
