NOTICE OF VACANCY
City Council appointed Advisory Boards, Commissions and Committees

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Glendora invites interested persons of the City of Glendora to submit applications to serve on the following City Advisory Boards and Commissions for vacancies effective June 30, 2025. The deadline to submit an application for consideration is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025:

Board of Library Trustees: 3 Vacancies: Office Nos. 1, 4, and 5 (3-year term). This Board provides strategic leadership and serves as the creative catalyst for developing and implementing the mission, values and vision of the Glendora Public Library. Members of the Library Board of Trustees must be registered to vote and reside within the incorporated City limits during their entire term of service (GMC, 2.32). This Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Community Services Commission: 2 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 1 and 2 (4-year term). This Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and Director of Recreation and Human Services in all matters pertaining to the park maintenance, park development, recreation programs, human services, and community beautification. Members of the Community Services Commission must be registered to vote and reside within the incorporated City limits during their entire term of service (GMC, 2.16). This Commission meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Planning Commission: 2 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 4 and 5 (4-year term). This Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on land-use policy-planning matters which guide the future development of the City. Members of the planning commission must be registered to vote and reside within the incorporated City limits during their entire term of service and no person of the planning commission shall hold any other remunerative office or position with the City (GMC, 2.12). This Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Water Commission: 3 Vacancies: Offices Nos. 3, 4, and 5 (4-year term). This Commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council on policy matters relating to the operation of the City’s water system, excluding daily operations and shall advise and recommend to the City Council policies and programs related to the City’s water. Members must be registered to vote, reside within the incorporated City limits during their entire term of service, and be customers of the City’s water division of the Public Works Department (GMC 2.18.020). This Commission meets on a quarterly basis the fourth Thursday of each January, April, July, and October at 6:00 p.m.

Applicants must be 18 years or older, register to vote and must maintain residency within the incorporated areas of the City of Glendora during their term of office. Applications are available via the City’s website at https://www.cityofglendora.gov/City-Hall/Boards-Commissions-and-Committees or at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office, 116 E. Foothill Boulevard, Glendora, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except holidays. Please call the City Clerk’s Office at (626) 914-8210 for more information.
