A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDORA CONFIRMING THE DIAGRAM AND ASSESSMENT FOR THE CITY OF GLENDORA STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Glendora, California
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 2026-11, adopted on May 12, 2026 (the “Resolution of Intention”), the City Council declared its intention to levy an assessment for Fiscal Year 2026-27 in connection with the City of Glendora Streetlight Maintenance District No. 1 (the “District”) pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (California Streets & Highways Code Section 22500 et seq.) (the “Assessment Law”); and
WHEREAS, as directed by the Resolution of Intention, the City gave notice of a Public Hearing, scheduled for June 23, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to move forward with the levy of the assessment in connection with the District for Fiscal Year 2026-27
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Glendora, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. That upon the conclusion of the Public Hearing, written protests filed, and not withdrawn, did not represent property owners owning more than fifty per cent (50%) of the area of assessable lands within the District. Therefore, the City Council overrules all objections and protests.
Section 3. The Diagram and Assessment contained in the Report entitled “Engineer’s Annual Levy Report, Fiscal Year 2026-27; City of Glendora Streetlight Maintenance District No 1” (the “Report”), which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved pursuant to Section 22631 of the Assessment Law.
Section 4. The adoption of this Resolution constitutes the levy of the assessment within the District for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the County of Los Angeles for the submittal of the assessments.
