NOTICE OF UNSCHEDULED VACANCY

The City of Glendora is now accepting applications to fill an unscheduled vacancy due to a resignation received on January 13, 2026 and effective immediately:

WATER COMMISSION – Office No. 3
Term Expires: June 30, 2029

APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 10, 2026 @ 5:00 PM (Until the position is filled)

WHY SERVE ON THE WATER COMMISSION
The Water Commission plays an important advisory role in shaping policies that impact the City’s water system and long-term sustainability. Commissioners work collaboratively to provide recommendations to the City Council on water-related policies and programs, excluding daily operations.

COMMISSION OVERVIEW AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Members of the Water Commission serve four-year terms, with the Commission consisting of five members. Commissioners must be registered voters, reside within the incorporated City limits throughout their term of service, and be customers of the City’s Water Division of the Public Works Department, in accordance with Glendora Municipal Code section 2.18.020.

Appointment Information: Applications are available on the City’s website at www.cityofglendora.gov/CandidateApplication. Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Pursuant to California Government Code §54974, this notice was prepared to give notice of an unscheduled vacancy on a City of Glendora board or commission. This notice was duly posted no later than twenty (20) days after the vacancy occurred as required by law. Final appointment shall not be made for at least ten (10) working days after posting this notice.
