Community Art Program (CAP)
The City of Glendora's Community Art Program (CAP) celebrates and promotes public art by encouraging artistic expression in new development projects and connecting artists with opportunities to showcase their work. This program enhances the visual landscape of Glendora and supports a culturally rich and engaged community.
What is the Community Art Program (CAP)?
Adopted by the Glendora City Council on February 13, 2024, under Ordinance No. 2083 and Resolution No. CC 2024-04, the CAP aims to:
- Enhance the physical appearance of the city
- Encourage community identity and pride
- Support artists through meaningful public art opportunities
Qualifying new developments are required to do one of the following:
- Install approved public artwork on-site (encouraged)
- Pay an in-lieu contribution to the City's Art Fund
- On rare occasions, donate artwork (subject to City Council's approval)
These contributions are based on the Building Permit Valuation (BPV) of the project.

Please review the CAP requirements prior to applying.
Note: Developers are not limited to selecting artists solely from the City's Artist Directory; however, the directory provides an easy and convenient list of artists to consider for collaboration.
