Water Use Efficiency Surveys

The City of Glendora offers FREE water use efficiency surveys for Glendora water customers. The survey assesses both outdoor and indoor water use on your property, helping you save water and money. 

BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING

During a water use efficiency survey, the representative will:

  • Evaluate the efficiency of your irrigation system, identify irrigation problems, and help you find solutions.
  • Provide an irrigation schedule based on your system and plants.
  • Explain how to read your water meter, so you can manage your water usage and detect possible leaks.
  • Provide water smart landscaping advice about low water use and low maintenance plants, healthy lawn care and ecological options for your yard.

WHO QUALIFIES

  • Residential properties= the audit will cover indoor/outdoor water use.
  • Commercial properties= the audit will focus on outdoor water use only and is available for properties with an irrigated landscape of 1 acre or more. 

Surveys will take about one hour and are conducted by WaterWise Consultant.  They have professional representatives trained in water conservation and irrigation smart practices.

Irrigation Retrofit and Leak Repair Program

The City of Glendora offers a Free Irrigation Retrofit and Leak Repair Program designed to help residents improve outdoor water efficiency, reduce water waste, and lower monthly water bills. This program focuses on upgrading existing irrigation systems with modern, water saving technology at no cost to the eligible Glendora water customers. *Suburban Water Systems customers do not qualify for this program. 

What the Program Offers

Eligible participants may receive free irrigation upgrades that can include:

  • Smart irrigation controllers that automatically adjust watering based on weather on seasonal conditions.
  • High efficiency sprinkler nozzles and drip irrigation conversions that reduce overspray, runoff, and evaporation.
  • Minor irrigation leak repairs and system adjustments identified during the evaluation.
  • Irrigation scheduling assistance to ensure landscapes are watered efficiently and appropriately.

These retrofits help landscapes stay healthy while significantly reducing unnecessary outdoor water use. 

Program Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the free irrigation retrofit and leak repairs program, participants must first complete a free Water Use Efficiency Survey conducted by WaterWise Consulting.
