A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDORA INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT LEVY WITH RESPECT TO THE STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 PURSUANT TO PROVISIONS OF PART 2 OF DIVISION 15 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Glendora, California
WHEREAS, the City has established Streetlight Maintenance District No. 1 (the “District”) pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (California Streets & Highways Code Section 22500 et seq.) (the “Assessment Law”); and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate proceedings to levy and collect assessments against the parcels within the District for Fiscal Year 2026-27 to pay for the costs of the streetlight maintenance in connection with the assessment district; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE City Council of the City of Glendora, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings to levy and collect assessments against the parcels within the District for the Fiscal Year 2026-27.
Section 3. The general nature of the improvements maintained and serviced in connection with the District are not proposed to change from prior years.
Section 4. The purpose of the assessment district shall be to finance the maintenance and servicing of Improvements throughout the District and the incidental expenses of the District.
Section 5. The City Council directs the Assessment Engineer to prepare and file with the City Clerk a report with respect to the Fiscal Year 2026-27 levy of the assessment in connection with the District. Such report shall comply with all requirements of the Assessment Law and Article XIIID of the California Constitution.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be published once at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the Hearing set by resolution in a newspaper of general circulation printed and published within the City of Glendora and shall post a certified copy of the Resolution in established posting locations according to law.
