SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
(AS PRESCRIBED BY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 36933 (c) (1))

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at their meeting held October 28, 2025, the Glendora City Council introduced for first reading, proposed Ordinance No. 2096,AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDORA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 2025 CITYWIDE ENGINEERING AND TRAFFIC SURVEY AND AMENDING THE GLENDORA MUNICIPAL CODE TO DETERMINE AND DECLARE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS” which if approved, will amend a section of Glendora Municipal Code Title 10 Vehicles and Traffic, Section 10.05.010 Prima Facie Speed Limits.  The ordinance enacts the following regulations and policies: 

This Ordinance adopts the 2025 Citywide Engineering and Traffic Survey, prepared in accordance with the California Vehicle Code and the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD, Revision 8, January 2024). The ordinance updates and establishes prima facie speed limits on various streets throughout the City of Glendora based on current traffic and roadway conditions (amended speed limits are proposed for seventeen street segments), consistent with Assembly Bill 43 (2021). The adoption of this ordinance ensures the City’s posted speed limits remain current, reasonable, and enforceable, and authorizes the Public Works Director to install or replace speed limit signs in accordance with the updated survey.

A certified copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance, including all roadway segments and proposed speed limits, is available for public review in the Office of the City Clerk, 116 E. Foothill Boulevard, Glendora, California, during normal business hours.

The City Council will consider adoption of said ordinance at their meeting to be held November 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber, 116 E. Foothill Boulevard, Glendora.

Said ordinance will become effective 30 days after adoption.

The foregoing Ordinance was introduced for first reading at a Regular Meeting of the Glendora City Council by the following roll call vote:

NOES:            COUNCILMEMBERS:   None.
ABSENT:        COUNCILMEMBERS:   None.
ABSTAIN:      COUNCILMEMBERS:   NONE.
