Objective Design Standards (ODS)
The City of Glendora is implementing Municipal Code Chapter 21.15 Objective Design Standards to make project review clearer, faster, and more consistent while also meeting State law requirements. These standards apply to building design and site planning for housing, mixed-use, commercial, and industrial projects, and are intended to give applicants a straightforward set of rules to follow so expectations are clear from the start. To submit a complete application, applicants must upload all required planning materials, including the applicable Objective Design Standards checklists, through Civic Access.
For help getting started, please review the City of Glendora Objective Design Standards User’s Guide. In addition to all other required application materials, every applicable development application must include three ODS items to be complete: the General Regulations Checklist, the applicable Architectural Style Checklist and the applicable development type specific checklist.
Refer to the Glendora Municipal Code Chapter 21.03 General Regulations for more information.
Step 3: Complete Applicable Architectural Style Checklist(s)
The following architectural styles are permitted for new development in Glendora. Each style includes a menu of required and optional design features. Applicants should also refer to the table below, which identifies the architectural styles allowed for each development type. Alternative architectural styles may be proposed but will require additional design review by Planning Commission through the Development Plan Review (DPR) process.
